a bit about us
What does ‘Kuppikali’ mean?
In Malayalam, ‘Kuppi’ means bottle and ‘Kali’ means to play…so Kuppikali loosely translates to ‘playing with bottles’ and that’s essentially at the core of what we do.
We cut bottles, fire them, transform them into completely new products like Lamps, Wall and Table Decor, Glasses (and the list goes on) to give the once discarded bottles a new lease of life.
We also create novel solutions for bands in the alco-bev and fnb industry to create fresh products using their empty bottles.
‘Why? Because every bottle upcycled, is a bottle saved from a landfill. Did you know only around 25% of India’s glass waste is actually recycled? And that kinda sucks, because glass as a material is 100% recyclable, yet most of it ends up just sitting in some dump yard for a million years.
Cheers and thank you for stopping by,
Nikita
